SNEH, an NGO by Bluebird Films, carries this spirit of service forward. Founded as the social wing of Bluebird Films, SNEH is dedicated to spreading love, compassion, and support to underprivileged communities. The NGO works with the belief that even small acts of kindness can create ripples of change. Its initiatives focus on providing educational aid, healthcare support, basic necessities, and opportunities for children and families in need.
Earlier introduced as Bluebird Smile, the initiative evolved into SNEH to embrace a broader vision and structured approach towards community development. Through donation drives, awareness campaigns, and collaborative programs with social leaders, SNEH is not just about charity—it is about building a culture of empathy and responsibility within society.
Namaskar,
I am honoured to serve as the President of SNEH, a heartfelt initiative by Bluebird Films, and also as the Secretary of Rangis Nagar Prakhand under the Bishwa Hindu Parishad. My journey has always been rooted in the service of society—be it through cultural preservation, community upliftment, or fostering the spirit of dharma and humanity.
SNEH is not just an NGO; it is a movement born out of compassion and responsibility. What began as Bluebird Smile has now grown into a more structured and impactful initiative under the name SNEH—Sewa, Nishtha, Ehsaas, and Hope. Our goal is to reach the unreached, to stand beside those who have been left behind by society, and to ignite hope through small yet meaningful actions.
SNEH, the social initiative of Bluebird Films, recently organized a Cloth Donation Drive as part of its continuous effort to extend warmth and dignity to underprivileged sections of society. The event was inaugurated by Dr. Pinky Baruah, Assistant Professor, Department of Zoology, who graced the occasion with her inspiring presence and words of encouragement.
The drive commenced from Pan Bazaar and extended up to Fancy Bazar in Guwahati, where volunteers of SNEH, along with active supporters from the community, came forward to distribute clothes and essentials to families and children in need. The initiative was not just about handing over clothes but also about sharing compassion, smiles, and a sense of belonging with those who often go unnoticed in the rush of city life.
During the event, Dr. Baruah highlighted the importance of collective responsibility, reminding everyone that true education lies not only in books and classrooms but also in practicing empathy and kindness. Her presence added great value to the campaign, inspiring students, youth, and community members to come forward in future activities.
The drive witnessed enthusiastic participation from both the volunteers of SNEH and members of the local community. Many individuals came forward to donate clothes, demonstrating that SNEH’s spirit of seva (service) is steadily spreading among the people. The initiative also created awareness about the need for sustainable giving, encouraging people to recycle and repurpose clothing rather than let them go to waste.
This event stands as a reflection of SNEH’s commitment to building a society where compassion is practiced actively. What began as Bluebird Smile and has now blossomed into SNEH continues to focus on creating meaningful, people-driven changes. Through activities like this donation drive, SNEH ensures that its name—symbolizing love, care, and empathy—reaches every corner of society.
